Three steps, no sales pitch from us

  1. Share the basics: what it's for, the size, the doors, and your ZIP.
  2. We pick up to three Utah post-frame contractors whose service area includes your property.
  3. Compare written bids on the same spec, then hire whoever earns it.

Matching service only. Pole Barn Utah does not build, sell kits, or quote prices. Before you sign, look the contractor up on Utah DOPL's license search and ask for a certificate of insurance.

Ballpark it first

Most of the cost is square footage times finish level. A bare 40×60 shell and the same building with a slab, insulation, and finished walls can differ by $100,000 or more.

Wasatch Front labor tends to cost more than rural crews charge. Builders in Cache Valley and Sanpete may also travel farther to reach you, which can add to the bid.

Estimated range:

Rates: shell $15–40/sf and slab +$5–10/sf (HomeGuide, 2026; shell range matches Angi); horse barn $35–70/sf; finished space adds $35–110/sf to the shell (HomeGuide). These are national numbers. Utah's Wasatch Front labor market, local snow and wind design, and site prep will change a real bid.
